The annual Tulip Time Flower Festival held in Spring in the Southern Highlands, boasts a spectacular display of 80,000 mass-planted tulips and 15,000 annuals in Corbett Gardens, Bowral.

The Marulan Book Exchange is run twice a monthly by local volunteers, providing a valuable resource for locals and visitors alike. This is one of the few Book Exchanges left in New South Wales.

The Markets on Bourke have a range of market stalls with lots of local goodies to be found. Everything from local arts, and crafts, produce, plants, fresh flowers, live music and great food can all be found throughout the stalls at the hugely popular Markets on Bourke.

Marulan Football Club will have their annual awards presentation on Saturday 28th September at 3:00pm at the Town Hall in Marulan, to present the following awards:

The Goulburn Farmers Market is a brand new cooperative venture promoting local producers and makers, and for the public to discover the best foods of the region. This is a monthly event.

The Goulburn Farmers Market has a community vibe with local entertainers among the stallholders, good coffee, small workshops on how to grow food, beekeeping and making compost.

Goulburn Farmers Market started with a conversation among Goulburn residents about the desirability of obtaining fresh local farm produce. The region has a long history of farming. Many small farms still have heritage orchards which produce wonderful fruit though not in large enough numbers to take advantage of modern supply chains. Small growers often have surplus with no outlet other than friends and neighbours.

And so the idea of a Goulburn Farmers Market was born in the hope of providing locally grown, fresh, affordable food to local consumers, with the added benefits of: low food miles, less packaging, less chemicals and preservatives and sustainable practices.

Every 4th Saturday of the month, 8-11am

Cuppa and Craft Marulan started in January 2024, created for people to get together, bring their craft projects and have a cuppa.

It’s held on Thurdays 9am to 1pm. Everyone is welcome. $5 per head. In the beautiful rustic shed behind George Street Peddlers, walk up the side driveway to access the shed. Join the Facebook group listed below to find out more.

You may have had some preconceived notions about yoga that are keeping you from getting started. But you don’t have to be fit or flexible, anybody can do yoga, regardless of age, body size, or fitness level.

“Taking it at your own pace is key,” says Carmen Jeffery, who runs classes at Marulan and Wingello village halls. “We have all ages and abilities,” she says, “if you would benefit from more flexibility then please come and give it a try. It doesn’t matter if you can touch your toes or not.”
